Austin, Texas, July 8, 2004 – Motion Computing, a leader in ultramobile computing and wireless communications, has appointed Patrick Cummins to the newly created position of Business Development Manager Central Europe. In his new role Cummins will be responsible for establishing distribution structures and driving the company’s expansion in the German, Austrian and Swiss market. With Cummins’ appointment Motion Computing aims at further strengthening its market position in key central European markets. The American tablet PC manufacturer expanded its business to Europe in October 2003.
Motion Computing specializes in pure slate tablet PCs which are specifically designed for users who demand a high degree of mobility. Cummins is a recognized mobile computing expert. Before joining Motion Computing, Cummins held a leading position with the Swiss company Techtrends where he successfully established a partner and reseller network for various companies, among them Motion Computing. Prior to that Cummins was responsible for the Paceblade network in Switzerland.
