Motion Computing Announced as a Constructech 50 Company

Motion joins a group of industry leaders recognized for strong product offerings, continuous growth and customer satisfaction

AUSTIN, Texas – July 8, 2010 – Motion Computing®, a leading provider of integrated mobile computing solutions, announced today that it was named as a winner of the Constructech 50 by Constructech magazine. The Constructech 50 is a listing of the most influential construction technology providers with a strong and ongoing market presence. This resource is determined by the editors of Constructech magazine and is published in the annual Constructech IT Playbook.

Some of the criteria used in determining the list include having a strong product/service aimed at the construction industry, ongoing customer satisfaction and growth, as well as outreach and educational efforts for the construction industry, among other considerations.

“Motion is thrilled to be recognized as a leading solution provider by a publication dedicated to construction technology,” said Mike Stinson, VP of Marketing, Motion. “Our solutions are delivering significant benefits by giving users the option for mobility, durability and performance for real time, onsite computing.”

Motion Computing, along with other companies named to the list, came from the area of wireless/mobile or mobile hardware. According to a recent Constructech survey, these are the highest-ranked categories of emerging/hot technology to have an impact on the construction industry in the next five years.

“Choosing the top 50 solution providers in the construction space was no small feat,” says Peggy Smedley, editorial director, Constructech magazine. “After much debate and discussion, we believe these 50 companies are bringing consistent and important solutions to those in the construction industry. And for their accomplishments, they should be commended.”

“For the editorial team here at Constructech magazine, the Constructech 50 serves as guide for anyone looking for innovative, proven technology within the construction marketplace,” says Mike Carrozzo, chief editor, Constructech. “The members of the list for 2010 definitely embody those criteria, and will be essential solutions for companies looking to improve their business practices.”
